    60cm play tank

Hey! My tap water is magical too! What a small world! Easycarbo is still Carbon. You are cheating, George.

Dutch Style Tank with Collectoritus (45+ species)

Shame you are not in the US. I would take the cuttings.

    my planted tanks

Well-done! I like the first kind of forest-floor one best. But that is just me. All are lovely, though.

Dutch Style Tank with Collectoritus (45+ species)

Very nice. I love the color combinations of a Dutch style. The red plants look great. Can't wait to see the scape mature more. I had a Dutch style too. Very fun tanks to work with. The 250g sounds intimidating. I will say, though, you've probably found a tank that will allow vallis to...

    lil' 'ol Dutch-style Scape

Again, thankyou for the compliments. I appreciate it. Hope a full-time job comes sooner rather than later, I'd love to work with this kind of scape again. Maybe a 55g or a 40g breeder. That would be sweet. Wanna see some red MADNESS. Check this out. That image was from my 1.4WPG 20g...

    lil' 'ol Dutch-style Scape

You are all so sweet and thank you for the warm welcome to UKAPS. :D I've been a member for a while ( since 2007), but with my other obligations, I could not post. I will make a concerted effort to post more, though I will admit, I am grossly out-of-date with most aspects of the hobby...

    lil' 'ol Dutch-style Scape

You are all too kind, but there are much better low-tech journals to read than mine. Mine would be full of broken rules and lack any technique or finess. I think I just get lucky or have a lot of patience. Or for once, there is something actually good about Miami water. I look forward to...

    my planted tanks

My favorite of the group. Very beautiful. Looks like a forest floor in the Pacific Northwest.

    lil' 'ol Dutch-style Scape

This was my favorite scape. One day, I'll try something similar on a larger scale, but I'll have to wait until I retire! The pruning regimen is not for the faint of heart! It took time to get the shapes I wanted. It's mostly stems. I'm surprised I got them to last that long...

My first foray into the world of planted aquaria.

Great start. The moss is fantastic. :) llj

llj 20g; not quite finished, but it will take forever...

I don't have a Walstad type tank, which typically has... soil substrate no or little filtration livestock is lightly stocked usually more lighting than I've got It is these types of tanks that generally come with less water changes, unless I have totally missed the idea behind a Walstad tank...

Autumn Sunrise (9th place in Nano category AAC 2009)

Beautiful tank. The Riccia looks so poofy. I love it. Congratulations on your placement. llj

    My 35l

Don't you love it when that happens? Sweet little tank, I like the java fern. I can not grow anything with the name Java in it. Everything else is okay, just nothing with Java in the name. I've got an 8g that's kind of like your tank but it's seemless and has 24W. It's empty now...

ADA 60cm - Espei's Escape (final tank shot)

No, this is just excellent fish selection at play. No training at the RAF with George! Just rasboras being rasboras. One of the best schooling fish around. If you've got good numbers, all you have to do is just approach the tank, and they'll assume schooling formation. My harlequins do this...

ADA 2009 Entry, Song of Moss

It is a beautiful scape, Steven. The white sand is lovely with the flora of the scape. It looks very natural. Good luck.

llj 20g; not quite finished, but it will take forever...

Thanks everybody, I appreciate the comments and I'm glad you like it. It is what it is. I've never been particularly flashy and usually I'll opt for lower maintenance and lower budget in the end, though I think I may post my old Dutch-style nano, just to keep you guessing. Not with plants...

llj 20g; not quite finished, but it will take forever...

Hello, I haven't posted here for a while. I've been busy with my university position and singing. I still have the 20g, and the scape has again morphed into something that I can be happy with, especially with the lack maintenance that it requires. It really doesn't make any sense to make...

    Aquascapes 2003 to present

Re: Six years of 'scaping Yes. Still representing the low-light, no-CO2, no-ferts facet of the planted tank hobby over there. I'll post some tank pictures here, though. llj
