Re: 570l tank - what was I thinking?
If after a few times opening that lid you start finding some sawdust on top of your glass, change the screws in the hinges!!!
I have a smaller one of these tanks with the same hood and all the back screws came/fell out.
Lot of Diatoms, Brown Algae visible on the moss and some of the plant leaves....Otto added and have started to clean the leaves

Mine is connected to a mixer tap...not sure how you would do it with twin taps, unless you could get one of those old mixer pipes, remember the old fashioned showers you used to slide over the taps
Or something like this but the other way around...
One set of lights added to the hud (2x 39w) Will be adding another two of the same for mid day burst.
Black Background added...really must think about adding plants now :D
Cheers Paul
Got mine set up now although as I mentioned in my pm to you, my connectors are the Eheim one and only their 16mm hose will fit.
I did manage to fit a standard hose inside a section of the 16mm hose and keeping it safe and secure with some jubilee clips.
Where theres a will...
Agree with the background not sure what colour yet...but black is ok by me
