after turning the co2 pressure down slightly the tubing has stopped coming off...will now try and gauge how long to leave the timer on to ensure the plants get enough co2
no I tried that just not pushing any CO2 through.....I turned the Co2 down and some is now getting through the spray bar, I'm going to leave it on 24/7 for a couple of days just in case its a timer issue (dont think it is though)
the flow going through the water pipes into the spraybar is fine.....but still blowing the pipe off the none return.
Dont want to buy another if the problem could be something else....hoped someone could shed some light on this
My Up Aqua has somehow got blocked....all looks ok but the pipe keeps blowing off from the none return valve....I have tried another valve with the same result....
Any idea how to unblock???
Here's the thing I want to buy or make a 3ft spraybar to go across the back of my 4ft tank.
I have the Eheim pro3 filter system (16/22 hose) with 2 spray bars joined with a bit of hose...
I'm sure I have seen a 3ft length of spraybar somewhere (but cant find it now!) or does anyone know where...
Just to point out that Aqua Esstials are still tops! they did send me an email first thing, saying I could keep the conector and they are posting the correct one out to me!!!
I still want them to send me the one I paid for! Will give this a go when the other needle valve arrives...one of the forum members has kindly said they have a spare and are going to send me it :)
Well I ordered the Y Splitter but they sent me the Y connector.
Apart from feeling ripped off because of the difference in price with it do the same job??

I bought a Spio III CO2 Diffuser and it has a hole at the base of the circular tubing...is it meant to have?
I thought it was broken so I email the people that sold me it and they said
"The hole is designed to release the gas pressure in the circular tube."
Is this right?
Has anyone used or are using the Y Splitter for CO2 Systems from Aqua Essentials
Can they be used with FE and are they any good?

Wow thats is an awful long time!! I get about 6 weeks to my 2 kg in my 180L tank, Just aquired a 5 kg bottle simply to save a few trips to the refilling shop
Think the new flow is a big improvement...Still getting the smelly Blue-green Smear algae in the substrate :(
I am picking it out before water changes....on-going battle!
One alteration needed!
The Fluval 305 really was not working with enough pressure to use the full length spray bar so I replaced the normal Fluval end and added the Eheim Compact 2000 Pump and attached the spray bar to that
I will work on the flo direction as you advised.
Many Thanks again...
Ok will up the dosage to 40ml 3x a week
My Eheim Compact 2000 Pump has just arrived any nice tips as where to put it?
Oh and just waiting for plants to come
Juwel corner filer removed joint spray bar added horizontally.
Eheim Compact Pump arrives this week and will be added for more flo, although not sure where to put it
Thanks very much for the great input I will change it around before I get any more plants.
The Ferts are at 25ml 3X per weeks...this was taken on advice also, do you thing I should up them to 40 ml 3X per week?
I would like to keep the ferts at 25ml simply because its easier...so what do you...
What do you mean by
Tank Juwel Vision 180 litres bowed front
Potassium Nitrate & Potassium Phosphate (SAME BOTTLE)
Potassium Nitrate 39g to 500ml for the solution
Potassium Phosphate 30g to 500ml for the solution
dosage = 25ml 3 times per week
Trace
18g to 500ml for the solution
dosage =...
Forget the lack of plants as I am trying to get the flow correct before adding more plants
Full Tank
Tank Right
Hydor Koralia used to send the Co2 on its way araound the tank....The Juwell filter is to be removed and I have bought a Eheim Compact 2000 to place in that corner
Tank Left...
Has anyone got or used the AQUAMEDIC SOLENOID VALVE seen it on ebay.
Never had or used a solenoid before so any pointers would be good....will these fit on a DD Regulator and do they have a UK plug?
If this is no good could you let me know a decent make
Cheers
God how awful
I hope you can get over it…although its hard, you can always replace the fish, but the sleepless nights thinking it might happen again…doesn’t bare thinking about :( :(
Not that weird....Dark Green in the water, maybe just because it looks darker than what it really is.
I set it up correctly 3 drops of blue into the 4dkh solution.
I change the drop check solution after every weekly water change.
my drop checker is not one with the white background....so it looks dark green but when I change the water and the level is below the drop checker it appears light green
I have 2 35w T5 bulbs with reflectors.
Waterflow is JUWEL internal on one side and FLUVAL 305 at the other.
The Juwel internal is also directed in a way to push the co2 from the diffuser around the tank
Could someone advise me on the required bps in my well planted 180L Juwel Tank.
At the moment its on 2bps but I am getting black hair algae on the leaf edges of some my my plants.
Should I up the CO2...if so what to?
Thanks for any help you can give!
Thanks for the reply
I decided against going for a second hand one...although it has cost me more I think in this case its better to be safe than sorry.
I have ordered the DD Regulator from Aqua essentials

Hi All
Can someone point me in the right direction.
I am going to rent a 10 litre CO2 bootle from my local Air Products and need to know which regulator I need?
Are all regulators standard thread size?
I was looking to buy something like the one below
Co2 Regulator (d+d)
Twin regulator for...
