Worst Songs Of The Year - 2008

Brilliant article, I must admit I have a passionate hatred for Scouting For Girls, it's the laziness which is so incredibly banal it's as if they simply got 10 of the most dull generic lyrics they could bother to think of, threw them up in the air, mixed them up and then put them into a song...

Check this out "Technically, the lower the diffuser is placed in an aquarium, the more efficient CO2 diffusion will be. However, it can deliver a sufficient amount of dissolved CO2 for growing aquatic plants when placed at the mid position." It's saying to me you can position it near the inlet...

Bohemian Rhapsody - for solo guitar

?eah I first hear bo rhap for solo guitar when total guitar put in on one of their demo discs. People wrote into the mag complaining because the transcription was too difficult to play  I was watching this last night oddly enough.

    The X Factor

I've got to put some thoughts on this can't resist it, using Thomas's thread here.... JLS - Good bunch of lads but IMO Walsh is giving them the wrong songs they need something more current and upbeat, also something which showcases their tight harmonies. Eoughen - Don't like the lad, look at...

    The Wire

RESPECT!!!! :D 8) Agree totally, I had heard about it and bought the first season, which I had sitting around at home waiting. I decided to watch it recently and at first I thought, ok it's pretty good what is the fuss about? By about the 5th episode I was totally into it and...

    What/who are you listening too?

i'm not really into listening to much music at the moment I'm obsessed with The Wire DVDs. I will say though I'm on a bit of a Smiths tip at the moment so I'm bascially listening to all my Smiths albums. That and Ry Cooders theme to Paris, Texas. Depends what I come across in iTunes really...

    ARCADIA

They are a good company I've dealt with them in the past and they seem to be focused on customer service. Same with D&D, Deltec is it? They're also really good.

    Google Chrome

I haven't downloaded it yet, I use a Mac so I'm not sure what it runs like on the Mac. If it's anything like gmail it will be in beta for the next 5 years! I have kinda thrown my lot in with google though, using gmail as my main email address for everything after leaving pipex. I think gmail is...

iPhone - the greatest piece of kit in the world

  brilliant It is annoying but I guess in a way M$ are trying to address the security attacks which Windows suffers from and this is one of their ways to get around it. The simple fact is hackers aren't targeting OS X or Linux yet but who knows, if both become more popular ...

iPhone - the greatest piece of kit in the world

The other thing I wanted to say is also Microsoft have so shamefully ripped off Tiger for Vista it's laughable. They've brought out Vista OK to muich fanfare, I've used it several times and it's not good. Firstly the sheer amount of different versions, premium, home basic, home premium, ultimate...

iPhone - the greatest piece of kit in the world

I'm a Mac 'switcher' been using an iMac core duo for about a year now. Initially it was expensive sure, at around £800 it was a lot more expensive than the 'equivalent' (I use that term very cautiously) PC but having now used one for a year I absolutely love it. It's worth every penny IMO. Not...

    X-Factor!!!

Let this thread be a discussion on Xfactor. It's not so much the programme I don't like, in fact I do find it grimly fascinating, it's just the horrible VT clips before each performance. They're so carefully engineered to get the public scrambling for their phones and voting, I'm not sure how...

    Gabby Logan leaves Strictly!

I think it's an awful programme, why it's so popular is beyond me, plus the various spin offs it's created, Dancing on Ice, Strictly Salsa and all that kind of stuff, basically no genre is save from the 'Strictly Come' format and thats worrying.
