i think the best option at the moment is Columbo Flora-Base from plantedbox.com it will be the next substrate i will try and for that price you cant go wrong
i use the same sheets they use for overhead projectors. the stuff i used in my pico.
this stuff it really good for smaller tanks although for a bigger tank than nano i would use something more substantial like the garden edging saintly uses.
he use smilar stuff to this. or did. but...
just bought a bag myself whhich should be here tomorrow :D great for me that it doesnt leach ammonia too, save all the messing about and shrimp seen to love it
i got the amazonia II normal and found it to be good with no problems. aparently amazonia II is not ment to release as much ammonia but i didnt really check my water but i dont think it did
yer i keep changing my mind on scapes you could always put the darker gravel at the front i think it would look better with the background maybe aquasoil which will grow foreground plants very good aswell
