It doesn't feel like the silicone is stained though - you can feel the rough texture of the algae on it. Just seems like really stubborn algae.

I dont get it though. Surely there is someway to remove it. Its basically ruined the otherwise clean tank :(

How can you kill green algae?

Just do the T5's for 8 hours

I recently did a blackout & since starting back up i have a bit of green spot algae. Is this because i just put my co2 & light straight up after i took the sheets off my tank? Whats the best way to approach the post-blackout situation?!

Well also the pipes arent perfectly smooth - so tiny particles get trapped in them... Then more get stuck on them and so on - so it gradually builds up over time.

Tried that - just isn't "powerful" enough lol. the green algae doesn't seem to budge. By the way are electric toothbrushes waterproof - Could be good for cleaning hard to reach rocks?
