Yeah I have to admit it was abit annoying looking through the tropica book and seeing their plants price group/pot number. Great. But means nothing as each retailer sells them to whichever price point they feel like :(

Do you mean it doesn't have to be planted into the substrate, so I could just have it floating on the surface? My fish keep removing it from where I position it, so that would be a better option

does anybody know what the tall plant at the front is called?
and now it's reached the surface how should I reduce the size, is it a case of cutting the stem from the bottom then planting back in?

I've received a delivery from greenline , rinsed everything and planted straight in with no worries now :D

The article refered to soaking to get rid of chemicals used to kill snails and such like, I'm sure it was a journal on here.
The snails don't bother me but the way it read implied that the snail control harmed other aspects of the tank and needed to be removed.
