I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere they can be gassed. If anything like fish, high levels of co2 would restrict oxygen intake regardless of how much oxygen they have available.

If you had co2 and could rehouse the fish I guess you could gas them? The other option is a bunch of assassin snails. :thumbup:

I believe they will revert to their wild colouration, typically a manky grey colour.

Many could be hiding. You can use a piece of sponge to cover the intake pipe. Doesn't restrict flow too much and provides more biological area for bacteria and a grazing spot for the shrimp.

Apart from fish, the main predators to baby shrimp are filter intakes. Hopefully you have it covered. :thumbup:

My second colony of cherries has been wiped out now, not seen any fleas for a good week or 2. If you ever get to the bottom of this I would be interested in the outcome. Seems your losing them a few here and there as I did.

Cherries are considered the one of the toughest. The colour morphs you listed that come from cherries can be a little more finicky, but not as finicky CRS.

And I still have one going since the summer. It's been negelcted in an unheated garage, no water changes but I freshened it up yesterday, only a few snails and plants. Surprisingly the glosso is still going strong. :mrgreen:

This sounds most likely. Spike to kill them off but by the time you tested water it's all zero.

My last 2 batches of cherries both went south. I lose them 1 here n there and a batch of 15-20 usually fizzle out over several months. The last batch even had young but not seen those for weeks, I've given up on shrimp for a few months, maybe try again in the summer.

It's possible snail production could be on the increase with higher temps and also with over feeding. I know you raised your temp due to LFS advice after losing some livestock but I usually run my tanks 22-24. Never kept those fish you lost, Rainbows? so can't offer anything on that.
