    Sagittaria natans

I had what I believed to be sagittaria subulata in my tank then was given more of the same, but the new stuff grew to vallis size proportions as well it looks identical to the original stuff, but just grows bigger *shrugs*. I'm giving up on it altogether as it's just too big for what I wanted.

    fissidens fontanus

I bought some off oatfish a while ago - may be worth pm'ing her to see if she has any more.

    hemiographis exotica

For the same reason that they sell you fish when your tank isn't cycled - dead fish/plants and you're going to come back for more, aren't you?

    star moss (Tortula Ruralis)

I saw that on fleabay too, but recall that when I researched it on t'inernet I got the impression that it was a non-aquatic moss so would be interested to hear otherwise too.

    Plant ID pretty please

Was given this a while ago, but not sure what it is. Is pretty unruly in it's growth but seems to grow pretty fast for me... Thanks in advance!

    ID Required please

I don't understand why more (or any for that matter) LFS haven't worked out just how much the planted tank enthusiast probably spends on a planted tank  I have never had a marine tank myself so don't know just how much they cost (I hear it's an expensive business  ) but the planted...

    ID Required please

It looks remarkably similar to a plant I bought off Java labelled "Red Ivy" when I was even more of a n00b than I am now  It died off gradually, but after investigation I believed it ot be a narrow leaf version of Hemigraphis as stated so isn't a true aquatic. Looks pretty though!

    Monosolenium tenerum

:o  Not surprised tbh after I received a cheque today which was sent Thursday 30th July! (Luckily for me it wasn't my cheque, but I'd hate to be the pensioner waiting on it  ) I'll send some more to you Graeme, but if you don't mind, I'll wait until this postal strike is over...

    Monosolenium tenerum

I thought that since there was so much infomation being shared about this plant I'd post this link to some lovely pictures of mono found on theteh.com and there are some even more impressive pics of mini-pellia on the same site, here.

    Monosolenium tenerum

That is a great article and a lovely picture of the mono at it's best (compared to mine!). I love the mini-pellia too - do you find it much different in nature to the mono?

Lovely picture indeed - if you're ever intending on selling any, be so good as to let this place know first

    Mosses from AquaticMagic

Whilst I have no real experience of moss (well I have Java and christmas moss) you should have a look at http://www.aquamoss.net for some more pictures. From the little experience I have of xmas moss which is in a low light tank, I can say that I believe it to be a much, much slower grower than...

I recently watched an ebay auction for an unspecified amount of this stuff - it went for over £22 (plus postage)
