Hi LFNfan. Thats easy, with an autodoser. My open tank loses aprox 2,5 liters daily due to evaporation. My dozer adds some fertz in the system and then it injects a particular amount of water into the tube that 'pushes' the fertz and ofcourse the water in my tank. Pump 1 is my water. Quickpic:

It seems pretty obvious that medaka are as likely to escape from an aquarium as a tub on a balcony. It's common sense and respect that stop a fish or plant entering native waterways.

That's not Blyxa japonica. Blyxa is a short stem plant and doesn't create runners. Yours looks like some kind of valisneria.

Update! Cryptocoryne flamingo added last week and new pink under water leaves just started to grow. Needed some colour apart from green and brown. Blyxa japonica is going crazy. Runners shooting out everywhere. Thicker leaves than what I'm used to seeing though. Natans Minima on top growing...

Best if you reduce the duration and the intensity by 50%.

Also for this reason, fresh water animals tend to adjust more easily to different water parameters.

I've not kept anything large, my largest species currently are pearl gourami and apistogramma. They are do seem to display more unique/interesting behaviour on an individual basis compared to my smaller schooling fish, whether that's due to their size or type of fish....I have no idea! :)

I use something similar for storing rainwater after I’ve filtered it.

Ps what I really like about these little lights is that they don’t obscure the view into the top of the tank, which in a shallow, open top is lovely.

I blew mine to bits in strong flow. It was very strong flow mind. I’ve read mixed opinions on its hardiness though and it seems a lot of people have had different experiences.
