A question for Nature Aquarium fans

Amano has a technique where he creates a 'typical' Iwagumi. He then removes the original plants, but keeps the rock work. Then the 'scape is planted with other plants i.e. stems, ferns etc. Does anyone know the name given to this technique? First to give the correct answer wins a small prize!

    Shallow - The Future?

Shallow, wide, braceless, rimless tanks have been popular with reefers, especially in Japan for a few years now. Amano's used them too in a few layouts. But I've never seen one in the UK until recently. In opti-white they look amazing. And they make perfect sense for the aquascaping...

    Cambodia Blackwater Pool Biotope

You can see exactly how I set this up in the Sept '09 issue of PFK. It's rewarding to step out of one's comfort zone and try to aquascape without plants for a change. The fish love it too. Biotopes are much easier than most planted set-ups and are relatively inexpensive, so why not...

Aquascaping discussion - fast, slow and styles
