20 Embers is fine. I'd go 30 or so in 100 litres.

Often lots of smaller fish produce less waste than a fewer bigger fish. Small tetras produce little waste and if you feed them little and often this will help to avoid further pollution.

have you thought about something more different like beckfords pencilfish? - they looks really nice, active, colourful and faily easy to keep. i think you could get 20-25 in your tank.

I've got a shoal of just ten harlequin rasboras in over 200 litres - suits me fine, for now at least. Plus six otos and a couple of dozen shrimp - that's it. Maybe less can be more?

Embers are brill fish, i plan on getting a few dozen for my cube....
