That would be a good starting point just keep a close eye on your fish as you up the rate
Cheers

I also took the liberty to take 2 tank photos since I had the wife's phone as my phone takes rubbish quality photos.

Managed to squeeze in a water change before work.

Currently home on lunch to check the tank on its first day on pressurised co2.

Drop checker is green so that's good. I've read it's more of a guideline then a precise indicator. All of 5 fish are doing well and 28 shrimp aredoing their thing. So quite chuffed now can't wait to see the growth of the plants.

Yeah i think you could probably up the co2 a tad
Cheers

Upped to 2bpm.

Day 1 with pressurised co2 (rock still there holding down the wood.) I have no idea when it will be waterlogged hopefully not too much longer as I have moss that I want to put there.

Sell that useless TV please :D
haha I do find myself just watching the tank more then the TV sometimes.

That's good. Quite a bug difference between the two then. Cabinet looks nice and neat.
Yup. Bought the cabinet off ebay ;) was never intended for a tank

Been at least a week. I've done a 50% water change and put the light on lowest setting.
I have made a few changes to the tank as I made a impulse buy of cockatoo cichlids (orange) picked up a male and female. The female betas have no problem with them so far. I tried to take images but they keep swimming lol

I used what I have left of the dragon rock and made a cave so they have options other then the dragon wood and the tropix wood (which is still releasing tannins)

I also did a bit of a trim mainly to the hygro 53B they are growing fast. Java fern isn't looking so great what do yall think is it too far gone?

A wild fish appears in this photo.

Hi all,

No, it should be all right.

Just pinch of all the old really yellow and brown leaves. It looks to be growing new green leaves towards the growing point of the rhizome (towards the Guppy).

cheers Darrel

Thanks I'll keep at it then. I think it ended up taking a bad turn because I have dimmed it back quite a bit as it was kinda bright. I'll pluck the leave and monitor the growth.
