This is my first attempt at paying as much attention to plants as I have the fish.

Tank 24"x15"x12"
Filter: Unknown 200lph ( Temporary as my eheim 2217 was needed on another tank)
Light: 2x24W T5 Arcadia Plant Pro
Plants: Didiplis Diandra, Rotala Wallichii, Ceratophyllum Demersum, Alternanthera Lilacina, Tropica - Limnophila sessiliflora, Lobelia cardinalis,Eleocharis parvula
Fish: 3 harlequins 2 peacock gobies
Ferts: Tropica TPN+ EasyCarbo
WC: 50% Every week
 
thats a nice weeks worth of growth
If your going for a low hairgrass carpet i would chop it back sooner rather than later,
it might also be an idea to trim the mass on the right down to pormote bushier growth, and you could also replant the cuttings to fill out a bit more.
 
First picture was taken about a month ago and I have trimmed it down twice since. Will try another picture tonight
