  • 2 Moonlight Gouramis
  • 2 Red Rainbowfish
  • 2 Boesemani Rainbows
  • 2 Bolivian Rams
  • 6 Penguin Tetras
  • 5 Harlequin Rasbora
  • 6 Guppies
  • 2 Zebra Loaches (will raise to 5 I think)
  • 3 Hara hara Catfish

Filtered using 1400 l/h external filter.

Plants are a variety bought from ebay apart from an anubias on the bogwood. I have no idea for ID for the rest of the plants. Have been having a lot of diatoms and hair algae. T8 lighting with no C02 or ferts at the moment. Root tabs used at startup however.

Will hopefully be getting a 2ft cube tank which I would like to keep rainbowfish in. Recommendation for planting for that is welcomed.

Nice, and moving to rainbowfish is a great idea. Im a big fan of them. Once mature they will reward you well, there are few freshwater fish that can rival their beautiful colours. Make sure their diet is high in vegetable matter. One thing I found is that they can be prone to nipping some softer leaved plants, abated somewhat with a high veg diet. Otherwise most plants work.
