So I want to make a tank for my office, but on a tight budget. The size is quite small at 600mm by 300mm by 300mm, so about 50l total. With the space I have available I can brace it without obstructing the view. The issue lines as you can see in the title, is the acrylic I have to hand is only 2mm think. Now everything I read says I need 4 or 5mm, but that was always for a lot higher volumes. Does anyone know if my 2mm would work?

The seals will break
Just think you only have a 2mm join and you only need one air bubble and it’s gone

Why not just get a second hand glass tank ?
Plenty that size available
