2nd Hand Tank - Wrong Bulb?

Hi all,

I just picked up a 2nd hand Juwel Vision 180. It's got a replaced lighting system in it the form of the following; https://www.iquaticsonline.co.uk/sh...system/iquatics-aqualumi-universal-twin-92cm/

Inside it, it has one 'Tropical' bulb - https://www.iquaticsonline.co.uk/sh...-t5-bulbs/juwel-35w-t5/35w-juwel-t5-tropical/ and one 'White marine' bulb -https://www.iquaticsonline.co.uk/sh...uwel-35w-t5/35w-juwel-t5-white-marine-14000k/.

Am I to assume the marine bulb isn't ideal for growing plants in the traditional tropical planted tank sense (as much as it is for growing coral)?, it's described as creating 'shallow corals light intensity'. It does appear to a very much white light, as opposed to the more warm/orangey light of the tropical. Preferably I'd like to create an ideal scenario for plants growth, so I'm happy to replace the bulb if so.

Cheers.

I have the iQuatics 4 tube Vision 180 unit.

I thought the light was too pink using just the iQuatics tubes. So I have two iQuatics tubes and 2 Juwel hi-lite day tubes and in my eyes tank looks a lot better.

Just the other day replaced one of the Juwel tubes, installed 2016, so 4 years old, that failed (extremely dim) as one of my plants had escaped the water surface and came into prolonged contact with the glass and cracked it. Other Juwel tube from 2016 is fine and is still as bright as the new tube.

Ordered online, during the lockdown from Aquadabra, took about a week to arrive. Arrived in massive cardboard tube, all fine and plugged in, told the naughty plant off and all is fine.

I don't think your plants will have problems growing with that bulb.
However, you might not like the look. At 14000 K, you will probably get a more washed out look on the plants instead of deep green and red colors.
