I’m currently in the process of moving from a reef tank to a planted tank low tech no co2.

I have an evergrow IT5012 light that was used for the reef tank. Has more blue LEDs than needed but they can be turned off.

With just whites on the output is 50w.

Would this still be useable or would another light fitting if be better?

Are 6500k LED flood lights any good?

Thanks

First what are the tank dimensions.?
Second how did you figure 50 watts?
Third this light?
Color Ratio

Hyper Red: 4 Osram (3W)
Green: 4 Cree XPE (3W)
Deep Blue: 24 Cree XTE (5W)
Cool White: 20 Cree XTE (5W)
Blue: 16 Cree XPE (3W)
Indigo: 20 SemiLEDS (3W
Last, pretty sure the wattages listed aren't accurate.
Anyways since the whites are low k you can use some blue\violets before hitting a reef tone.

Tank dimensions are in title of the post, the wattage comes from the app controller page so is the actual wattage at the set value(see photo attached). Currently 61.5w

Lol... can I blame my phone for missing it?
Age?

Is that your preferred viewing setting?

Anyways should have adequate par at those levels and lots of room to increase it.
You can use the old school 1/4 watt per liter as a starting point.
Though listed as a starting point think the rule if thumb needs an upgrade for leds.
Obviously par is a better measurement
