64L of rock, wood and plants

Hi all,
Never tried them yet, do they need some cave?
The female lays her eggs in a cave, they like one with a really small entrance. Have a look at <"Hidden Caves">.
Will they dig in the substrate?
Yes a little bit, they don't dig as such but they are Geophagine (Earth-eater) cichlids, so they often feed by taking a mouthful of sand, extracting anything edible and then spitting the sand out.
What´s the min temp to maintain them (I don't have an heater)?
Apistogramma hongsloi like it reasonably warm (they are from Colombia etc), there are species that like cooler temperatures, the only ones you are likely to find are <"Apistogramma borellii"> and <"A. trifasciata">.

cheers Darrel

Many Thanks Darrel, that is very helpful.

I Definitively consider them for my next scape. :)

I am still struggling with air in the Oase BM 250.
I like the filter setup, but this issue is bothersome.
Every 3-4 days the flow is totally restricted due to air.
