70L scapers tank

Few issues still with BBA but seem to be getting on top of it!

Happy with all the plants apart from the background plants seem to look a it messy growing ad different lengths but I'm sure it will all come together eventually

Some of the moss needs moving to as its floating around it taking away the gap in between the wood

Well due a trim! Noticed some green hair already which I think might be to do with the c02 not circulating enough as the plants are blocking it but that's just my guess other than that still getting good growth and plants are thriving

Quick update! I've dealt with some BBA which seems to be improving. All plants have had a big trim so not looking as vibrant but I plan to let it all grow in now and I'll take the best stems and replant.

All starting to fill in well

6 new amazon shrimp have been added yesterday

Quick trim, can't really see it but the left hand side is finally growing well as I've moved the more towards the back.

the surface skimmer has to go! Does a great job but not good for looking at and the right side plants have not took well to it being there either

Another small trim to give it some more shape not that it's all growing in and a water change. Filter was cleaned, all pipes and skimmer.

Thinking of breeding galaxy rasboras

lost quite a few fish tho in the last week, not sure why that is, especially chilli rasboras, galaxy rasbora I think the numbers are down but could be hiding

Switched to TNC complete which I can see is recommended by most or tropica but TNC was the cheaper option.

I Know people like to use salts and make their own but for now the all on one suits me. So hopefully it works well

overall the tank is looking fresh and at its best so far.

You really can't go wrong with that if you're getting the dosing right (which it appears). I am using Tropica Specialized in one of my tanks - works well too.

Tank looks great! Keep up the good work!

Cheers,
Michael

Thank you so far so good with the TNC. I've noticed the plants look abit healthier. They were doing well before but just have better colour and new growth

After a weekend away I lost one of the red crystal shrimp and almost a couple other which I think was due to slightly increasing c02 before I left and the surface skimmer got stuck and the others revived once it was sorted so I was disappointed because I've had them a while.

Same day I've finally found babies so I'm hoping to get a good population in there cus they are expensive to keep buying!

I do need to sort a filter guard asap tho As the glass skimmer broke and now im using the standard eheim and the shrimp go into the filter

All is growing well and healthy with baby fish and shrimp that's a good sign too

i feel like theres something missing tho i dont know if its because i cut the left side stem plants down and its lost its colour. I took alot of plants out from the bottom right also which hasnt filled in like before but i will get it back soon enough!

still working on the background and moved the wood forward to get more light back there

After trimming the moss there was alot more light getting through, can see the colour in the background coming through alot better, looking to get a deeper red if anyone has any tips?

Massive trim!! A nice refresh and tidy up. Tropica root tabs added aswell. The rotala background will be interesting because I normally replant the best cuttings and the Bush is now high enough to shape it

Id like to do something with the moss aswell, maybe cover all the wood Nd have it shorter instead of clumps, which ill get round to doing
