Hi All,

So after a good few months of not posting on here (Work getting in the way) I finally have some time to post up a journal on my latest tank..... This has been a slow goer as I had some major co2 issue's around the second and third week which triggered an algae bloom and after progress with previous tanks (Pic 1 previous scape) had gone well I got a bit disheartened and struggled to get the new scape to where I wanted with little time for maintenance it took me a good 2 months before I could give the scape the time it needed to recover.

Thanks for looking and comment always welcomed!

Cheers Ben

The rolling hill to the left is a lovely contrast to the right side. It's looks like a green stream spilling to the front of the tank, a bit of a change to all the white sand streams you see. Lovely...
Lindy

oh my.......both are superb, the struggle was worth it and your certainly "back in the game"!
Some tank stats would be good please
Cheerio,
Ady.

Cheers Lindy.... wanted a change to the sand, hopefully something that's not seen very often.... this was going to have a sand valley... or plants, so plants it was.

Re: 90 cm " Back in the game "

I agree with everything that has been posted prior, what a fantastic looking tank. The layout is beautiful.

Looks very clinical yet natural at the same time, you must be pleased with the results so far.

Hi Nat, Am pleased but like I said still room for improvement, also need to let a few parts of the tank grow in more, for a more natural look, while trimming and keeping other parts in check..... The Vallis Nana is by far the most rampant and hard to control.... I must pull out a half a dozen plants a week and trim the rest hard!

Stunning as ever.

Thanks mate.

Have done my weekly water change and I've decided to print up a new back ground.... I have one white, one all black.... Now I'm going to take some inspiration from Mark Evans and print and laminate up a graduated blue background..... Probably run it dark blue at the top through to white at the bottom... Will post some pics later in the week of the printing process, lamination and of course the tank with the back ground in place.

Printed and laminated my graduated blue background today.... It' looks good behind the tank, will post photos tomorrow......
