A bit of a plug for Dobbies in P'boro.

Have a few Tropica plants in at what seem like decent prices. Nothing fancy as far as I know, but good for beginners like me.
They have a fair bit of other stuff in and the lad that has served me seems to know his stuff.

Yes, you're best getting there soon after delivery of new stock. The plants tend to die quite quickly in their poorly lit and underfed holding tanks otherwise (unless things have changed in recent months).

I had a browse round there last weekend, and probably the weekend before that. All looks good.

The Dobbies at Ayr in scotland was woeful. The plants in the holding tanks were awash with algae and there was not one single display tank with real plants in it. Absolutely no freshwater shrimp, shrimp products, substrate other than gravel or aquascaping stuff. I have got absolutely everything I have for my tanks(including the tanks,plants and livestock) online.
