Acorus gramineus

I don't think this plant takes too kindly to permanent submersion. I think it really belongs with other non-aquatics that are often sold as suitable for an aquarium. I used it way back when, before I knew better, and it always used to rot eventually. 21 plants to avoid in the aquarium...
 
They can cope with quite deep immersion, but only with the top of the leaves emergent. Completely submerged they have always died off for me.
 
I have the Acorus tatarinowii since ~2 years. First year total submerged with 30ppm CO2 - no issues. Now in my pond it grows faster with just wet feets.
