Got some pics after being away during the weekend, my gran was on fert duty, but algae has took hold slightly, mainly on glass and stone, hopefully i can get some cherries when the nitrite reaches zero soon, here:

AdAndrews said:Just recieved my boyu in-line diffuser, so hopefully i can stop wasting co2, im having a little algae issues at the moment, diatoms
I think this is down to bad water quality while running lights for 8hours, becuase i am stetching the time for water changes to every 2 days instead of every one, growth is much better, but maybe i need to use more tpn+, im using 2ml as it is, is it possible to use 3ml?
And the frogbit has grown immensley, but its "roots" are really long, can i snip these without causing damage to the plant, does the cutting stimulate new growth as with many "non floating plants"?
thanks
AdAndrews said:no, im not using any ammonia remover...shall cut lights and willl cut frogbit
