Tank will be...

30x15x12
very bright lighting (2 x 35w power compacts)
CO2 (pressurised)
Sand/tetra complete substrate
50/50 RO/hard tap water
Small ext filter
temp 78 F

Stocking....30-40 cardinals, a few pandas and a few shrimps

I'm thinking of adding

Blyxa Japonica
HETERANTHERA ZOSTERIFOLIA
Glossostigma

Your advice, suggestions and opinions would be welcome on the plant choices...the tank will be set up as new. I've never kept the above and would like to give them a go.

Look forward to your help

Andy

Temperature seems a bit on the high side, the Heteranthera zosterifolia can get quite big, the blyxa can melt initially when planted but normally comes back good, the glosso needs a good bit of light to stay compact >2.5-3WPG.

HI Andy,
How hard is your water? I get my water from Southern Water and it's about 12GH and 5 kH. There are no plants on your list that require a 50/50 RO mix. You can save yourself a LOT of trouble by just using straight tap.

Cheers,
