In general:
go with less light ( fewer hours and or less intensity)
do more waterchanges with more maintenance ( removing algae, rubbing leaves clean etc)
do full EI
do that 6 weeks and report back
add some floaters, and more plantmass (cheap onea like Elodea, watersprite etc)

Do you have an algae clean-up crew? I would recommend some ottos, Amano shrimps and/or Nerite snails.

Have added 6 oto's now and will look to add some kind of plec and amano, I'll go back to full EI and report back. Thanks for the advice

Planting is quite light so I don’t see the need for more ferilizers

Increase water changes until algae abates
Definitely remove algae physically - daily if possible

Snails are grand - “mystery” snail, Nerite species

add some kind of plec
As you are no doubt aware be careful of the type of 'plec' you get. Common & Sailfins are wonderful at eating algae when small but not when big and boy they can get big. Clown plecs are good at eating bogwood and pooing peat and most of the attractively marked other types of plecs are expensive and either eat plants or are carnivores. Avoid any plec with teeth like piano keys. How about some platies, livebearers eat algae just a thought.

Looking at the pic of your tank the lighting looks bright try as Edvert advises about more plants. Cheap stem plants could be just floated until the tank settles down. Hornwort could be a good choice, beg some from the out door pond section now out of season. Temperate hornwort will grow like stink but will fall apart at tropical temperatures but it should have done the job by then.

Try also dosing your liquid carbon ( assume its 1.5%) at a heaver dose. Its reported to be an algaecide. Normal dose is 10ml per 40 litre, increase in stages and but watch your shrimps, most are fine with normal dosing. Run the liquid carbon direct onto the leaves with algae. Hydrogen peroxide also works when applied in the same way but these latter two are attacking symptoms and not causes.
