I'm currently battling a bit of alage on a fresh scape

Orginally ithought it was a bit of diatoms with it being a new setup and would pass with time and water changes but this has not been the case, tbh it just kinda stayed the same.

I'm currently doing a 90% waterchange every other day to remove as much as possile and dosing 4ml of easycarbo daily and with spot dosing.

Ph is just about stable, but there is a 0.1 over shoot for about 2 hours, but I'm trying to dial that out.
Daily dose of Ei at 10ml alternative days of the liquid form aquariumplantfood Ei

Any help and suggestions and how i can irradicate it
Cheers All

Looks like a blanket/thread type of algae (but no expert) I do get that in one tank I have on some of the plants, I have the plants in pots in this tank so I just pop them in may main tank for 24hrs and the 50+ amanos soon take care of it.

Do you have any Amanos ? or other shrimp .

Plants look quite healthy otherwise, however the algae will reduce the flow and the this will effect the plants, so manually remove as much as the can until you get it under control

Hi Zeus, cheers for replying

I do have Amano shrimp but only 5 (borrowed from my sons tank) at the moment as i got caught out by the lockdown so have not been able to buy any.

I'm doing 90% every other day water changes and removing as much as possible manually so keep up with this from now.
