Hi Guys,
Stones in hardscape will eventually move/sink, I’m after as said an alternative, B and Q have - High density polyethylene tiles, normal use is for outdoor matting in driveways/grass.
Could this be used ?!?

Much appreciated..

I use lava rock in filter bags but any heavy aggregate will do a great job. You can create nice hills this way and create a nice aerobic environment beneath the substrate.

That is exactly what I’m talking about :)
So does not leach anything into water?!? As was my concern. If not is exactly what I need,I have some heavy stones which will be central in aquascape which can be elevated on this once soil is added into crevices..

Thanks again for posting

Hope so!

They made from polyethylene, which I understand is used on water pipes - so should be OK.

How long have you had tank set up with fish?!?
Should be okay?!? I think is worth a try as I think HIGH density is okay/ no leaching ;)

Since September. I've has losses, but only real big one since adding was white spot related. So in all, I think OK.

I managed to get my hands on some egg crate eventually , as if everything goes pair shaped/ don't want to have to strip down the whole aquascape ;)
