Amano got the munchies...

Sword plant's and hygros big nutrient hog's.(both substrate and water column) IME
Perhaps Amano are just taking advantage of gradually poorer performing plant's/leaves, due to nutrient deficiency?
Perhaps old growth leaves need to be removed for new growth?
No other herbivores in the tank? (plecos)

Yes,would be easy to offer algae wafer's or sinking pellet food.(after lights out, to help keep fishes from eating it all)
If plants continue to have ratty leaves, then it ain't the shrimps alone contributing to leaf damage.
They might as mentioned, just be taking advantage of decaying plant matter as is their nature.
I got maybe a half dozen Amano in tank with three large sword plant's (Echinodorus Rose, echinodorus Red flame,Echinodorus Kliener bar and it is only the Farlowella who nibbles at leaves without algae wafer every couple evening's+ Hikari sinking wafers.
