I'm going to be getting this plant for my next setup, but the question is do I buy it for silly money with leaves/roots etc and see if they melt, or do I buy the bulbs for a fraction of the price and grow them from the start?

That's weird as I was just thinking today about trying this species again myself! I'd go for the bulbs as they will soon sprout if healthy. Apparently/allegedly it does better when grown around Crypts so make sure you put some of them around it so their roots intermingle!

I'm having Crypt balansae right behind them. I got all my ideas from Amano's scape on pages 70-71 in NAW Book 2
