Hi every one,
I'm Andrea from Italy and this is my first aquarium almost 2 month old.

It's a Dennerle Nano Cube 60 (38cm x 38cm x 43cm - net volume 50L)
- 2X Wave Zen Cosmos 2X22W
- Eheim Liberty 200
- JBL Aquabasis
- JBL Manado

Flora:
- Anubias barteri var. nana
- Hygrophila difformis
- Ceratophyllum demersum
- Cryptocoryne parva
- Glossostigma elatinoides
- Aponogeton crispus
- Riccia Fluitans

I'm waiting for Alternanthera reineckii, Ludwigia glandulosa Red and Hygrophila 'Rosanervig' becaus I lack some red. http://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/e1140...tem=281010680953&ssPageName=ADME:L:OC:IT:3160

Two weeks ago a fixed the Riccia to some stones and grids and it's growing nicely. Last week I trimmed the Hygrophila and now i can see a lots of new shoots on it.

My fertilizing routine is a sort of PMDD + Seachem Excel + Trace but I'm ready to switch to full EI + Excel.

Those are my dosing targets from 2nd week from start til now:
NO3 (19.6 ppm/week)
PO4 (4 ppm/week)
K (13.6 ppm/week)
Fe (0.4ppm/week)

50% water change on Sunday.
No algae at all.

Now the bad part...I take decisions on plants but my little son and my wife take decisions on fishes...so I have:
3 guppies
2 Platy Redwag
5 Neon Tetra
9 Neocaridina Red Cherry
x Planorbis
I'm planning to have only nano fishes (tetra are nice but I'm in love with Galaxy Rasbora), neocaridina and planorbis in this tank so, probably, I will take another tank for guppies and platy :)

All your comments are really appreciated.

cheers
Andrea

Love the layout, cant wait to see it all grown in !

Will be keeping an eye on this :D

Thanks
I must say that a nano cube is a nice alternative to the classic horizontal tanks..but it's a lot more difficult to scape.

I was not very pleased with the overall appearance and space management that caused me some problems when I had to prune so this saturday I decided a little rescape. So now I have some space for the three RED plants that I'm waiting for the shipment..
I will update this post with new pics soon...

thanks

Hi,
just a quick update with new plants and a new layout.
I heavily pruned all the plants and I planted three new stem plants:
- Alternanthera Reineckii
- Hygrophyla Polysperma 'Rosenerving'
- Ludwigia Grandulosa

This is the overall look now:

My next steps will be to grow some stems in front of the filter pipe to hide it.

I'm very pleased of the Alternanthera

My current dosing is the standard EI + Seachem Excel but probably I have some K deficiency and yesterday I increased the K2SO4 dose a little.

Hope you like it.

Very cool Andrea,

The alternanthera is beautiful and adds a nice balances to the colours of the tank.. congrats on an algae free tank!!!
