Bamboo Plants

I was in Ikea the other day and seen those bamboo shoots, like these in this pic http://www.worldofstock.com/slides/NPF3117.jpg and wondered if they would be suitable in the Discus Tank or actually any fish tank?

Anyone got any ideas, requirements include constant suply of water with obviously they would have but i didnt know if they would become water logged or rot?

hi susan, i use them in an open top tank

unfortunately they rotted for me

however, i believe that if there are no leaves submerses and the rest of the plant is above ater they do fine
