I have been looking at those moss domes as they always have such amazing pictures and my previous moss experiences haven't been great.
What moss would look best in one of these domes and would do fine in a very low energy tank?
Not sure Flame Moss would grow too straight and end up looking leggy and java moss might get too compacted and brown and die?

My all time "hard-core" favorite moss is the 'Spiky'. It is a Taxiphyllum (like your standard Java-moss) and very, very adsptable to different conditions of environment in an aquarium. Appearance is not far from the ever-so-popular 'christmas moss' but so much easier to grow.
Any moss will outgrow your "moss dome" in time, starting to die off from within - so you have to tear it apart, now and then, and start a new.
