I have a small piece of wood which has been out of my tank for a little while, it has green algae all over it and it stil has some java moss attached, which has grown very arkwrdly in between all the cracks and holes etc..

I want o tuse this piece in my tank again but i want it free of all green stuff first including the moss. How could i get rid of it, instead of picking at it for hours? Would boiling it work do you think?

Any help appreciated

Hi,
Yep, boiling will work, so will bleach or peroxide with a brush and a bit of elbow grease.

Cheers,
