Recently purchased some bornea wood from AE, however one of the pieces won't sink.
Tried soaking it in the bath with a piece of slate over it for a few days but still no joy!

    Any suggestions?

sounds strange you may have to permanently glue it to some slate and put the slate under the substrate depending on how you want it ovcourse

Aquarium silicone, superglue or even cable ties etc are fine.

I think wood will sink eventually, some bits just take an age to do so.
