I'm unsure if it's something anyone has ever really done or thought about; a rimless/braceless aquarium with a pelmet of some description and no background to hide the fact you can see through at the back.
This would be for my all in one - just so I don't have to look at the gap between display and filtration which stares me straight in the eye from my main viewing angle(s)
The only photo I have right now is the one below in it's temporary state but hope it should give you some idea what I'm on about. Lighting is suspended and all cables and pipework from ATO/doser etc are hidden in the little black box on the top right you will probably notice above the rim, including the lighting cable normally.
