For the first couple of years of my tank, Assasin Snails would breed like rabbits. So much so I had to sell a dozen every few months.
In the last few years they don't seem to breed at all.
Any thoughts on what might have made the difference?

Has there been a change in the number of prey snails in the tank? Perhaps the assassins are at capacity in that tank?

There were prey snails for a while, maybe a couple of months, but there were 20+ Assassins for a couple of years after. Over the last couple of years there have been no more than 5 or 6.

What fish do you currently house with them? Maybe somethings taken a liking to eating juvenile Assassins? Any new fish? Loaches? Puffers?
