Hi all,

Never kept buce before so just want to confirm if this is a flower on my bucephalandra red sp.
Sorry for the poor pic quality.

Thanks.

It looks more like a new leaf, they come out a bit rolled and then flatten. A flower is usually more obviously a stalk and white bud on top.

As Tam says above the flowers come on an obvious white stork and then unfurl over a couple of days.

I don't know if warmer conditions are a triggering factor but I recently had about 20 flowers pop up when we had the warm weather and my tank got to 28-29c, normally they just occur more randomly throughout the year.

Thank you guys, new leaves are a good sign so I guess I'm doing something right.

The flowers looks like this. This was is one I bought already flowering.
