A couple of days ago I noticed quite a lot of these worm like creatures moving about on the glass and in the substrate. Im hoping it’s not planaria.
I can’t distinguish an arrow like head but I’m not sure as they are so small.
Can anybody identify them and suggest a course of action?

I am going to go for detritus worms. Harmless but a sign of overfeeding.

Overfeeding is definitely not an issue as up until today there was nothing in the tank except 5x RCS and 2x Nerites. Added some ember tetras today but they haven’t been fed

Hi all, How are they moving? Are they "gliding"?

cheers Darrel

I would say they are gliding yes.

Cheers @dw1305

Do we think they might be Rhabdocoelas flatworms then?

I’ll try baiting them if that’s the case as suggested in that thread

Quite possibly, I have both types of flatworm in my tanks and some leeches. I've never managed to exclude them (or Hydra) for long.

Probably the safest option, Hydra and Tricladia Planarians you can kill with fenbendazole ("Panacur"), Rhabdocoelas flatworms are fairly resistant and leeches very difficult to remove by any chemical means.
