Hey guys. Some of you know I'm having a bit of an issue with algae at the moment so getting my C02 stable is the first task.
On WC day I try to get it done before the C02 is timed to come on. So I don't have to interrupt the C02 getting pumped into the tank. Even though the tank is fully filled up and running again before the C02 comes on, by the time the lights come on the DC is a bluey green colour. Then by the time the C02 turns off, it's a lime green colour. But on non WC days the DC is a lime green colour when the lights come on.
Is the reason for this because I've taken out at least 50% of C02 rich water and replaced it with fresh non C02 water? If this is the case, does this happen to your tanks on WC day?
Surely this will be affecting the balance of the tank for that 1 day of the week which isn't going to help me get to the bottom of the algae issue.
If this isn't right, any tips and advice would be much appreciated
