can i use a table lamp for a nano

Hello folks are there any desk lights which could be used for a nano tank.

I use a table lamp with a daylight bulb at the moment to suppliment my lighting on my 80lt.

The bulb was £15 and is meant for reptiles etc but is fine for plants (6500k iirc)

Will try and find a pic later, the bulbs are easy to find online!

Hi all,
There are plenty of desk lamps that take the PL11 2 pin compact fluorescent tube. These tubes are cheap to buy and come in a range of wattages 11, 13, 18W etc.

I used to use an IKEA clamp on desk lamp, it used a PL 11watt 2 pin Compact Fluorescent the same as the specialist nano lights on the market. The colour temp from the supplied bulb was rank though so I changed it.

Hi all,
Argos do a cheap 11W PL2 anglepoise type lamp in black or silver. I haven't seen one, but I'd be interested in whether any-one has bought one? and how flimsy (or otherwise) it is.
