Can I Use Epsom Salts Instead of Magnesium Sulphate?

hi, i'm getting the chemicals for dosing EI soon as i'm running out of TPN+. but i've just noticed that Epsom salts are just hydrated magnesium sulphate. so could i just use Epsom salts instead instead of buying the powders off aqua essentials?

Hi,

Me too. In fact I now buy all my chemicals cheaply from Ebay sources.

Epsom salt is just the common name for Magnesium sulphate, they both have the chemical formula MGSO4.

While your at it why not look up Saltpetre which is the common name for Potassium Nitrate, chemical formula KNO3.
