The A. 'rosanervig' is defenitely not more difficult to grow, in my experience actually a bit easier. It does need a decent light and some added CO2, though. And yes, the pink colour is very vibrant.
It tends to grow shorter internodes (=space between leaves), making the impression more compact. Be aware, that it is a variation, so the plants may suddenly grow a "non-rosanervig" branch(though this does not happen often!). Such branches should be removed, to keep the 'rosanervig' look.
