I am in the process of setting up a Nano tank 35 x 25 x 25 cm and I'm thinking of stocking it with about 5 Celestial pearl danios and was wondering if any one has any experience with this species in a small tank

They do OK, but require a lot of wood/plants to break up line of sight. Dominant male can be a PIA. Pretty fish.

They are quite a timid species when kept in numbers less than 10, I wouldn't keep less than that. Not sure on tank size but something tells me it's quite small for these very active fish.

You may be better off with one of the boraras species. I find cpd males can be quite territorial with each other so may cause issues in a tank that small.

cheers

Conor
