cheap photographic lighting for aquariums

I was browsing my images from the past and came across many images i forgot i had. nice to look back actually

anyway, i found one or 2 that may help a few struggling with lighting there tanks for photographic purposes.

continuous lighting, i think, is a cheaper option by far. you can pick up lights for £60 on ebay but I'll let you lot make those decisions.I'll just show you what's possible on a budget.

i used at the time interfit lights which were£100 from jessops. there a little more now and the bulbs are better/different.

hope this helps people who would like to take better images with there DSLR on a budget.it'll of course work with compacts. be sure to check your white balance though
 
Nice pics, good looking set-up. That's given me a few ideas, firstly "get your tank sorted out and scaped Simon"

Seriously though, really inspirational!
