I've got the A401 light and not to sure were to start. It has 6 or 7 settings cant remember i'm at work, the light is mounted on the tank. Tank is 40cm deep width 33cm
The plants that are going in the tank tomorrow are Lilaeopsis brasiliensis Tropica, Micranthemum Monte Carlo, Helanthium tenellum Aquafleur, Littorella uniflora.
Will also be doing co2 and adding Tropica Specialised Fertiliser.
Just not to sure were to start with the light was thing 4 to start with. If anyone has had the light that can give some advice would be appreciated. IMG_20210403_144636.jpg This is the tank but not the aquasacape.

That's a pretty deep tank, probably start at max or a knotch down and keep it on a shorter photo period maybe 6 hours initially.
I've got a a401 currently on a 25cm deep iwugami, currently at a dry start so it's max brightness, will be running that 2 notches down from max when it's flooded though and see how I go from there, there's only Cuba in there.

Yeah Trial and error is always the best way imo, what works for other might not work for you.

I alway found that running the lights for 6 hours the first few weeks give the plants chance to settle into life underwater and throw down some roots etc, as well as all that the plant mass is a fraction of what it is when the plants have spread and matured in the first month or so. So algae has no problems in making itself at home.

hope everything goes well with your Scape, hardscape looks great, I've just brought a 40cm cube, I might buy another a401 to light it if yours works for your scape :)

Thanks for the advice will do the 6 hours for a few weeks.
Scape has changed a few time think I'm happy with it never done anything like this before. Always just had plants that did not do so well and a lot of fish.
Thanks again for the advice
