I wondered if anyone could help? My two 60cm Chichiros WGRB lights have developed a glitch whereby the white light is significantly reduced and the colour balance is awful. I can run with green or red, but not both on at the same time. It's still enough light to keep the plants growing (just) but it's awful to look at. I have tried a new controller, however, this doesn't make a difference. I think this suggests a problem with the lights themselves.

I wondered if anyone else had experienced similar issues or had a way to resolve this?

They were both from Ali Express so cannot be returned and are both over 12 months old.

Failing this could anyone suggest a cheap led lights to keep the plants alive until I decide what to do with the tanks (I cannot justify two new high end lights atm).

The nicrew Plant light well pleased with gives a nice rendition to look at . £35 ish think l payed for my 30 inch long tank

Have both lights failed at the same time with the same problem? If yes, it would be either a major coincidence or result of a power surge or similar. Are the two lights operated independently? It sounds like a controller issue, either on the external controller, or in the circuit board of the light strip. Depending on where you are located, you might be able to request assistance from a specialist shop that assembles LED lights for aquariums, vivariums. Not sure if such repair would be worth it though…

There are plenty of unbranded LED lights on sale online that will have a 2y warranty. Get two of those. Either that or pick an entry level models from Chihiros, Twinstar, Eheim, …

Did you try a new power supply?
I've had sort if similar issues w/ ribbons if the voltage on the ps becomes unstable
It's generally a cheap troubleshooting fix.
What is the orig " output" listed on it?
Match voltage but increase "watts" and look for a meanwell ps.

Are these WRGB or the newer WRGB II lights? Do they have blu-tooth control via the 'My Chihiros' app - if so, see if you can update the firmware, or perform a factory reset on the light? Have you reached out to Chihiros? - though they won't be able to offer warranty (there is no Chihiros warranty at all on lights purchased via AliExpress), I have found them generally pretty helpful.

Thank you for the helpful advice. These are the old WRGB lights. They failed at different times and I have tried a new Bluetooth controller and transformer. I am not quite sure how to factory reset the lights @Wookii ..any advice would be welcome!

I will contact Chichiros and see if they can help.

In the interim I will order a nicrew light to keep the tank ticking over.
