Chili Rasbora possible illness?

Hey guys,

I picked up some Chili’s about two weeks ago and they have been settling in fine and beginning to colour up. They are feeding fine and seem relaxed but today I noticed the all look a bit red and raw around the gills.

is this just their colour coming in or is it something I should be concerned about?

Photos aren’t great but they are difficult to capture haha

It's funny, I had the same feeling when I first bought mine. I think its normal, and as they colour up more it tends to be less noticeable.

Perfect thanks for the reassurance. The water parameters are fine and they don’t seem in any distress so I assumed as much but always a worry. Had a hard time getting these guys and have been wanting some for ages, want them to last more than a month haha

No CO2 Darrel, 1.5-2ml per day of both APT Zero and Flourish Excel.
