Hey guys,

Second new journal. Just moved and rescaped these today, these used to live on the windowill in my dining room, but the excess of natural light finally killed them there the past 4-6 weeks. So I decided to move them to my chimney, and rescape them with the plants that were already in there, plus some pond plants I had left from another project.
No inhabitants so far, will definitely be home to some cherry shrimp, might even use them to breed some nice reds and yellows, will see. As far as fish, suggestions are welcome!
I do have some remaining algae on the Anubias mostly, but will spot dose them with liquid CO2 for a couple of days, that should sort that out.

Hardware:
40x25x25 cm. Aquarium 4 mm. Glass Thickness, transparant silicone
Superfish AquaFlow 100
Superfish Nano Heater 25 Watt
DIY Bio CO2 diffused through a cigarette filter stuffed in some tubing
IKEA Jansjo Lamp x 2 (will be adding 2 more coming week; total will be 140 lumens/ aquarium)

Substrate:
Soil (Pokon Sowing Soil)
Old, mature substrate
VDL Black Gravel 1-3 mm.

Hardscape:
Bogwood
Lava Rock

Flora:
Zantedeschia Aethiopica
Sagittaria Graminea
Juncus Ensifolius
Taxiphyllum sp. "Spiky"
Pogostemon Helferi
Cryptocoryne Pygmaea
Cryptocoryne Petchii
Cryptocoryne Nevellii
Anubias sp. "Golden Coin"
Anubias Nana sp. "Bonzai"
Anubias Heterophylla

CO2 & Ferts:
CO2 is on 24/7, going at about 1bp3s (with a JBL Bubble Counter)
I dose EI (2,5 ml. Micro (days 1-3-5) and 1,25 ml. Macro (days 2-4-6) with one restday)

Some quick pics now!

Let me know what you guys think!

Hi there!

Really cool setup! It appeals very harmonious to me. But the IKEA LED is too weak, even if you put a second one there for every tank. I think this won't work. You should use a stonger Lighting.

Really nice tanks and side by side looks great. There are some cheap aquarium LED lights on the market these days that might be a better option over the Ikea lamps.

Thanks for the compliments guys.

As far as lighting goes, you're making me doubt myself now. I tried both lights over one tank first, and that seemed to give plenty of light!
Had a look around off course, and thought that as alternatives, I could go for either the new Aquael Leddy Plant (but I'm doubting it will spread sufficiently, looks to me as it was designed for a cube) or the Dennerle Nano Light 9 Watts, but both would immediately put me in the high light side of the range (490 and 600 lumens respectively), and I do not want to turn these into algae traps. Plus, I love the colouring these IKEA lamps give the tanks. Choices, choices, choices. ;)

Looks like more then enough light to me, you really shouldn't worry to much about light :D

That's what I thought. Gave it some more thought and moved the lights over 1 tank for testing, and it looks like plenty of light to me as well!

:) Also a wonderfull twin setup.. Its more like a Dynamo Walk Trough the Glass trick. Nice, the way you set it up like that.

You were right Darrel, the Zantedeschia is going mad already: 4 new leaves on the main plant, 2 on the side shoot, AND a new side shoot, which has already gone emerse with two leaves of its own. Mental, but I love the look, really messes with the perceived perspective of the scapes I think (if that's even proper English LOL).
