You can see my Journal here, it has full specs and a tank plan.

I am getting to the stage now I need to finalise my plants but I am after some advice.
The plans I know I want to keep are the following:
Eleocharis parvula (Dwarf Hairgrass)
blyxa japonica
Narrow leaf Java fern
Being new to the whole planted tank world which includes choosing plants, I know some of the more common species you find in your LFS. So I stumbled on the site http://www.plantgeek.net and I have been using that to get a good look at plants available but I am finding after I make a list of plants I like I cant find them to buy on-line arg!
So I changed my tactics and used AE and TGM and just looked at the plants available via them which was going great until I soon exceeded £150+. I know the whole argument its quality and not rubbish, and the cost is not a massive issue to me so to speak. My problem is since I am new the hobby I don't really feel safe dropping £200 to fully plant my tank from the start only for me to loose them.
I have been looking at the plant collections AE offer http://www.aquaessentials.co.uk/index.p ... hk3uqe9ut7
And it got me thinking that it might be safer option to pick a grow on pack and buying the Tropica plants that will then be the main focal points. Just wondered what everyone's thoughts are being such a huge tank as my first planted tank, I know I don't do things my halves
